Principal

James E. Arnold, Sr. is President of Freedom Financial Associates. He has over twenty five (25) years experience assisting individual families, professionals and small business owners with their financial services needs. 

He has an A.S. Degree in  Finance and Business Administration and a B.S. Degree in Industrial Technology /Business Management. Additionally, James has completed numerous industry courses in Investing, Insurance, Estate Analysis,Tax Planning, Financial Needs Analysis and Retirement Planning. 

 James began his financial services career in 1982 with Primerica Financial Services (a subsidiary Citi Group). While at Primerica he earned many promotions and awards.  In 1992 he joined John Hancock Financial Services. During his years with John Hancock, he received a number of awards and citations for his production and dedication to his profession. In 2000, recognizing the need to acquire greater access to more of a variety of financial products to meet the needs of his clients, James resigned from John Hancock to co-found Freedom Financial Group, Inc., an independent insurance and investments marketing firm. During his career with Freedom Financial Group, he gained valuable knowledge and experience in accessing brokered insurance and registered investment products from numerous  insurance and investment companies.

Over the years, James Arnold has conducted multiple financial services workshops and seminars for many diverse groups. These meetings have been so successful that for two years, two Virginia based banks contracted him to conduct Money Management and Budgeting Workshops in communities across the Commonwealth of Virginia.  

In the summer of 2007, James left Freedom Financial Group, Inc. and founded Freedom Financial Associates.  As owner and president, he now has the independence and freedom he needs to fully put the needs of his clients first, without the pressure or influence of other individuals or entities.
